Masaichi Sagawa
Dr. Masaichi Sagawa, 92, of Hilo died at the Life Care Center of Hilo on December 29, 2012. Born in Hawi, he was a retired Doctor of Dental Surgery. He was also a member of Hilo Hooganji Mission and a life member of both the American and Hawaii dental associations, and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Private services were held. The family requests that flowers and monetary donations (koden) be omitted.
He is survived by wife, Taeko Sagawa of Hilo; sons, Dr. Dennis (Sandra) Sagawa of Hilo and Jon (Ann) Sagawa of Tacoma, Wash.; daughter, Dr. Kathy Sagawa of Hilo; sister, Yukie Edna Kaneta of Honolulu; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
